MUNCHAUSEN BY PROXY

I wrote a novel and submitted it to a very big publishing house in new york. A meagerly paid first reader at
the publishing house read it and died. A junior editor at the publishing house read it and died. A senior
editor at the publishing house read it and died. The executive editor at the publishing house read it and
died. I received a letter in the mail six weeks later that said: “We regret we are unable to take this project
on, as most of our staff is deceased, but best of luck in placing this work elsewhere.”
