Forget desire, let’s perform clarity

Straddling you in a big clay room
I make an incision, earnestly
moving through you with my fingers

I extract a pearl from your abdomen

We regard it in warm, calm light
It glints and is bloodless

You remark The irritant has been beautiful

                             all along
           like
                      go figure?

I feel I could repair you at almost any time
